Description

"I just don't get Google! Can't we just go back to.... " shhhhh... Don't say that other company's name. Have you ever questioned if you were misusing the Google suite? Are you looking to take full advantage of the sharing capabilities of Google to take your business processes to the next level? This is the class for you. In our short time together, we will first look at some basic functionality and then move into a few more advanced topics. Please make sure to bring a device and already have a Google account. You could even do this with your phone, but we would recommend a Chromebook or laptop.

Details: Taught by Martin Hanley (Director of PLTC), one of his students, and Brandon Duke (Owner of Brightline Consulting). When the City of St. Charles School District moved to become a Google School District, Martin was one of staff members selected to train the other staff members. Originally a software engineer, Martin transitioned to education in 2004. Martin has taught Google products at Lewis & Clark Career Center and at PLTC where he serves as Director. Martin will be bringing one of the PLTC computer students to assist in teaching this class. Also joining Martin will be Brandon Duke. Brandon has been working with schools and long term care facilities to provide quality IT consulting and training services. Brandon has helped train, in addition to others, the staff at the Clopton School District on how to use the Google Suite of products. Both Martin and Brandon were early adopters of the Google suite of products.
